A chrome plated and enamel ivorine cocktail recipe menu. This stunning Art Deco piece is the perfect addition to any home or professional bar. The nob on the side of the piece turns each separate hand coloured ivorine (a bakelite composite style material used to look like ivory) page showing thirty classic, and more adventurous cocktail recipes detailed!
The body and base of the piece are painted with a stylish and eye catching red and black enamel. Very much a popular colour combination of the Deco era with a cockerel that was a popular motive added to a number of bar pieces during the Art Deco movement.
The base itself is a classic, stepped Art Deco style design, with clean lines and no pattern or engravings, making the piece a good fit for even the most classic of homes. Unsigned, made in England. The piece is in excellent original condition with some very slight paint loss to the base as can be seen in the images. All recipe pages are in tact. The patent number for the piece is stamped on the back. Circa 1920's.
