An incredibly rare Art Nouveau era hair comb or ornament showcasing ornate scrolling acanthus leaves accented by old cut diamonds and shimmery pearls.  All set within silver gilt, the old mine cut diamonds in this piece glitter beautifully with their nearly white color and tall crowns.  The diamonds weigh approximately 0.40 carats and are SI/I in clarity overall.  The comb itself is a faux shell material, most likely celluloid or resin.  A really lovely piece not often found with natural diamonds!
